Local author Kobi Yamadas first childrens picture book, What Do You Do With an Idea?, has sold over 2 million copies worldwide and has been translated into 35 languages.

Ahead of a signing event at Molbaks in Woodinville on Nov. 30, The Seattle Times chatted with Yamada to discuss writing for children, how to encourage creativity and the special power of picture books.
How do you write a picture book?
With so few words in them, how do you decide what to include?
